"Hit Me For Six Just Like A Cricket Bat"- Tom Felton

Flashback Post: (mostly becuase nothing eventful happened today, and i dont want to type a lot becuase its friday) In the summer time i aquired a friend over twitter, and it was the actor who played Oliver Wood in the harry potter movies, Sean Biggerstaff. He was pretty awesome, and he talked to me a lot on twitter, so it was nice. We talked about Scotland, and England, and all that fun European stuff, and soon he talked about Cricket. Well that seriously influenced me, and i started to research the rules, and specifics about Cricket. It is a very complex sport. Since it was the summer, i started researching where i could play, or what i could use to simulate the game, and while i was researching my friend told me about how he played cricket when he visited England some years back. Obviously, i was intrigued by the story immensly, so i kept on trudging along in my research, and i soon found out that the only way i was going to play was if i made the bat myself. I consulted my friend and asked him if he would be interested in assisting me, to which he replied enthusiasticly. So we started to embark on the journey that is making a Cricket bat. We got some wood and started. After 3 days we saw the bat taking shape, and i started to swell with excitement. How fun will it be to play. Unfortunately my mind seemed to be headed on another path becuase after we finished it we never played :(
Fast-Forward to present day: the friend who helped to build the bat came over, and out of intrest i told him to take the bat with him. "The Crikstick", was the name of the bat, layed across the blade with bold black tape. The bat was painted white, and looked like the real ones. It was amazing, i really regret not playing during the summer, because now i have to wait for at least 4 months before we can play. The only fault the bat has is its sheer weight. Traditional Cricket bats from England are made out of English Willow, which is a light hard wood. We had nothing to choose from but Pine, which is very heavy wood. That is very unfortunate, but otherwise the bat is awesome, and i CANT WAIT TO PLAY!!!!
